Two Isles. One Vision
Exclusive Handcrafted Gin.
We are a collective of meticulous makers and quiet perfectionists — bound not by proximity, but by purpose.
Tumbledown was born in 2018, the result of an unlikely alignment: two remote isles, worlds apart — the Falkland Islands and the Isle of Man — drawn together by a shared vision.
Both forged by wild weather, fresh water, and fierce independence. It’s the essence that runs through every drop we distil.
What began as a shared obsession became a singular pursuit: to create something exclusive that honours its origin, demands patience, and tastes like nowhere else on Earth.
We’re not driven by scale.
We are guided by clarity, control, and the slow rhythm of true artisan craftsmanship.
Everything we make is small-batch, stream-fed, and spirit-led — drawn from the untamed water of Tumbledown Mountain, infused with native botanicals, and distilled for those who value rarity.
TAFF DAVIES
Founder. Artisan Distiller. Wild-hearted original.
Taff never set out to build a distillery.
A former soldier who fell in love with the Falklands and stayed long after most left, he began an artisan distilling in a shed behind his home in Stanley.
Not for profit. Not for prestige. Just the quiet satisfaction of doing something he loved — and doing it well.
What began in quiet solitude soon sparked interest — this exclusive handcrafted gin was praised for its clarity, its depth, and the way it captured the spirit of the Falklands.
Taff is the soul of Tumbledown: instinctive, unconventional, and rooted in the landscape.
The still may be larger now, serving kindred hands beyond his own.
But the spirit remains unchanged.

JOHN HELLOWELL
Entrepreneur. Builder of Bridges.
John always had a pull toward the Falklands.
He came to visit on a whim — and stayed for six years.
A retired entrepreneur, he saw something rare in Taff’s quiet back garden operation and knew how to bring it to life. John helped shape the plan, handling the formalities and backing the idea to grow the enterprise.
Together, they laid the foundation for what would become Tumbledown and Falkland Islands Spirits.
Now based on the Isle of Man, John continues to bridge two distant shores — carrying the spirit of this South Atlantic exclusive handcrafted gin to collectors and gin enthusiasts across the British Isles.
