Artisan Gin. Forged in Isolation. Poured Across the World.
Our artisan gin, a story of patience and resilience.
It began in a humble shed on an island fringed by wind — a place where fog swallows ships and days pass without a soul in sight.
One man. A still. A slow, stubborn craft.
Not for business. Not for show. Just the pursuit of something pure.
Taff Davies, a former soldier, stayed in the Falklands long after others moved on. He began distilling artisanal gin behind his home in Stanley, using fresh local water and native botanicals.
Then came John and Saul — two men who saw not just a hobby, but a spirit with soul.
They drew up a plan. The Falklands Government said no. So they did it anyway. Quietly. Properly. Their way.
A few handcrafted gin bottles became a whisper — then a reputation, then a movement. Tumbledown grew by word of mouth: from Falklands secret to globally sought-after handcrafted gin, with cruise ships helping carry the story far beyond the islands.
When scale demanded a way forward, they found one.
Tumbledown Gin travelled 8,000 miles by Royal Navy Fleet Auxiliary to the Isle of Man – a second island with the means to bottle what the first had crafted.
Today, every handcrafted drop carries the weight of that distance –
and travels on, to collectors and Gin lovers raising a glass around the world.
Stream-fed. Spirit-led. Still shaped by the land where it all began.
Tumbledown isn’t just a gin.
It’s endurance. It’s legacy.
A story you can taste.
